Don't Miss This Local Gem!
One of my family's favourite things to do is go to antique and vintage shops. Whether it's a flea market in Nice, a thrift store in Belgium, or the Fort Langley Antique Mall, we love browsing through old stuff.
Recently, we visited Honest Goods in Maple Ridge. This lovely local shop is run by David and Catie. I had met David at the Olde Farmhouse Market in the past but had never been to his store until recently. We fell in love with this quaint shop that sells beautiful vintage pieces.
Here's Why You Should Check Them Out:
1) The displays are beautiful. We loved browsing the store and I left with some great items and felt inspired.
2) The prices are affordable. Seriously. If you're used to getting sticker shock at stores like this, be prepared to be pleasantly surprised.
3) My best tip for making your space beautiful is to create a layered and curated look. You can't achieve this by just shopping at a big box store. Picking unique pieces with character and history builds a space over time that has depth and richness to it.
4) I am all about shopping vintage and shopping local. By visiting stores like this you are supporting a young, local family and helping reduce waste.
With the Golden Ears Bridge and Lougheed Highway, Maple Ridge is close to Langley, Vancouver, or Abbotsford. If you're looking for something to do this weekend, go and check out Honest Goods at 11954 228th Maple Ridge.
Hours: Tuesday to Friday 11-5 and Saturday 10-5. You can find them on Facebook and Instagram.
